摘要: Abstract Phytoestrogen is considered a promising natural remedy for various postmenopausal symptoms. However, most studies have focused on common soybean, Glycine max. Here, the first time, we evaluated in vivo effect of distinct species, small black bean (Rhynchosia volubilis), ovariectomized mice and investigated its impact intestinal microbiota metabolic status. Ovariectomized exhibited significant body weight gain, typical symptom, microbial changes, such as decreased α-diversity; changes composition, especially abundances families Desulfovibrionaceae Mogibacteriaceae genus Dorea; amino acid short-chain fatty levels. Administration extract restores gut perturbation to levels similar those observed under normal conditions. Our data suggest that potential candidate functional food treating symptoms via remodeling microbiome.
