摘要: This paper describes a project undertaken with industry to develop software tool that automates the configuration of conceptual aircraft systems so their costs can be estimated. The development accurate cost estimates at design stage helps identify ways reduce throughout projects life cycle. A case study on Hydraulics system is used demonstrate novel methodology for capturing and representing rules. developed prototype requires Top Level Definitions (TLD's) proposed new then uses captured rules together rationalised judgements calculate architecture pseudo Bill Materials (BOM) system. Subsequently generated costed using commercial estimating software. piping its installation calculated within added output from allows different configurations compared optimised regard cost.
