摘要: To assess the morphology and function of transverse acetabular ligament (TAL), its internal structure insertion sites were analyzed, strain was determined during hip joint loading. Fifteen specimens embedded in methyl methacrylate cut into 500-µm sections parallel to inlet acetabulum. Polarized light microscopy contact radiography revealed important differences between ventral dorsal attachment TAL. Ventrally, fibers insert close labrum, at a rather extensive site consisting fibrous cartilage. Dorsally, arises from wide bony region posterior horn, where it is continuous with periosteum capsule. In second part study, six (four fixed, two fresh) investigated, using testing machine simulate The strains TAL labrum measured gauges. Loads 10-2,800 N applied degree rotation femoral head varied. At 400% body weight, encountered tensile up 3.7%, but only 0.5%. areas joints polyether casting material. 50% weight they found lie anterior aspects lunate surface. These results indicate that, due natural incongruity, notch widened loading submitted tension.
