摘要: The American mink (Neovison vison) is responsible for the widespread decline of its prey species in regions where it an invasive species. current expansion Iberian Peninsula has aroused concern among conservationists about negative impact on rich native fauna. However, evidence this still scarce, although there are several studies establishing a direct causal relationship between declining and presence mink. Thus, important to further investigate responses habitats locations enhance our knowledge patterns effect Spain, as well inform conservation actions. A field study mountainous vertebrate community central Spain presented. We studied six species: two fish, one amphibian, bird, mammals. general results showed species-specific sensitivity presence, with Mediterranean water shrew (Neomys anomalus) southern vole (Arvicola sapidus) being most affected because their ranges were significantly decreased after introduction Regarding other species, neither abundance nor range was apparently by predatory behavior interactions carnivores could account these results. These data aid shedding light invaded areas highlight variability effects, urgent need establish program control avoid effects upon communities. Furthermore, given different we propose that measures protect should be based goals attributes.
