摘要: Abstract It is well known that high rank coals are generally more hydrophobic than low coal or oxidised coal. Non-coking (sub-bituminous) of the Talcher field in India has very ash content and believed to have surface. This difficult float even at higher concentration collector due its surface with reduced hydrophobicity. investigation been carried out study flotation characteristics Indian sub-bituminous having particle size below 1 mm. Initially was using conventional reagents only a Denver D-12 sub-aeration cell. Then it pre-treated aliphatic alcohols i.e., ethanol butanol de-oxidise The attempt also made non-conventional reagent as black oil promoter for this type enhance floatability. combinations above were studied improve performance. Flotation optimum conditions evaluate performance column. To characterize respect maceral's response, petrography on bulk, concentrate, + 500 µm − 500 µm fractions tailings flotation. Based test data, may be concluded potential give product around 31% 80.4% yield from 41–42% feed In case column flotation, could further 26.6% same 66.5% yield.
