An asymmetric dinuclear copper(II) complex with phenoxo and acetate bridges: Synthesis, structure and magnetic studies

摘要: Abstract The dinuclear (μ2-acetate)bis(μ2-phenoxide)di-copper(II) complex, 1 with a tetradentate ligand, L (L = 2,4-di-tert-butyl-6-{[(2-dimethylaminoethyl)-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-amino]-methyl}-phenol) has been synthesized and characterized. single crystal X-ray structure of the complex was determined. Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurement showed that two copper(II) centres are strongly anti-ferromagnetically coupled. structural study revealed Cu–Cu distance (2.911 A) is very close to observed in acetate. average Cu–O–Cu angles (∼87°) found be lowest amongst examples reported so far.
