摘要: J Oral Pathol Med (2012) 41: 444–451 Background:  Stromal cells are believed to affect cancer invasion and metastasis. The purpose of this study was evaluate the distribution cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) incidence tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), focusing on clinicopathological factors patient prognosis, as well invasion. Methods:  included 108 patients with OSCC. Anti-α-smooth muscle actin, CD68, CD163 antibodies were used identify CAFs TAMs. divided into 4 grades basis staining intensity: negative (0), scanty (1), focal (2), abundant (3). most intensive areas macrophage concentration each tumor invasive stroma also evaluated. Results:  specimens Grade 0/1, 2, 3 CAF grade. In addition, they low- high-grade groups number CD68-positive CD163-positive macrophages. latter significantly increased 2 group compared 0/1 (P = 0.009). Kaplan–Meier multivariate survival analyses revealed that (P = 0.003) high levels (P = 0.007) correlated a poor outcome OSCC, level significant an independent prognostic factor (P = 0.045). Conclusions:  Cancer-associated may be potential predictors
