摘要: In inflammatory diseases, macrophages are a main producer of range cytokines regulating the state. This also includes inflammation induced by tumor growth, which recruits so-called tumor-associated supporting growth. Macrophages therefore relevant targets for cytotoxic or phenotype-modulating drugs in treatment and cancerous diseases. Such targeting has been tried using natural propensity to non-specifically phagocytose circulating foreign particulate material. addition, specific macrophage-expressed receptors used order obtain selective uptake reduce adverse effects off-target delivery drugs. CD163 is highly expressed macrophage-specific endocytic receptor that studied intracellular small molecule targeted liposomes antibody drug conjugates. review will focus on biology its potential role as target macrophage compared with other approaches.
