Production of bacteriolytic enzymes as a tool for characterizing enterococci.

摘要: Bacteriolytic enzymes secreted by log-phase cultures of enterococci (Enterococcus faecalis, Ent. faecium, durans, hirae, casseliflavus, avium, mundtii) were analysed means a zymogram technique to resolve activities according the size their polypeptide component and specificities towards different substrates. Heterogeneous patterns lytic activity observed with species. For each test substrate, homogeneous strains same species, except for faecalis strains, which showed heterogeneous even could be divided into at least four groups pattern. No was common all tested. Results analysis Enterococcus bacteriolytic consistent current knowledge on enterococcal taxonomy, indicating that this analytical approach may useful tool fine-tuned characterization strains.
