摘要: Nectar exploitation by European birds mainly refers to passerines feeding on exotic plants, although some recent studies described nectar-feeding trans-Saharan local plants. We examined which and plants are involved in nectar consumption investigated the consequences of use plasma blood glucose concentrations during spring migration at a stopover site central Mediterranean. recorded 12 opportunistic species, with Sylvia warblers particular showing marked nectarivory, 6 used birds, no one shows typical “bird flowers” features. Moreover, we demonstrated that uptake led an increase was drunk not only poor physical condition. The is fully accordance time-minimising models, allowing obtain water energy sites short time: easy find quick digest.
