The effect of duloxetine on primary pain symptoms in Parkinson disease.

摘要: Objectives: To study the effect of duloxetine (Cymbalta), a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, on pain symptoms in Parkinson Disease (PD). Methods/Patients: Twenty-three patients with PD painful phenomena were treated for 6 weeks an open-label design. Assessments performed before at treatment completion consisted Visual Analogue Scale, Brief Pain Inventory, Short-Form McGill Questionnaire, Quality Life Questionnaire 39-item version, motor part Unified Rating Scale. threshold was assessed by quantitative sensory tests. Results: Thirteen 20 who completed reported varying degrees relief. The mean scores decreased significantly. There no change after treatment. Conclusions: Duloxetine seems to be effective central PD.
