摘要: Metals and alloys are commonly employed processed in the form of polycrystalline aggregates. The mechanical strength such aggregates depends greatly on interfaces or grain boundaries that join individual crystal grains. In general a boundary can be expected to weaker than matrix since degree atomic order is lower crystal. Furthermore, chemical composition with respect solute components diffusive properties differ from crystalline matrix.
