摘要: The Mexican gray wolf (Canis lupus baileyi) was extirpated from Arizona and New Mexico in the 1970s. In 1998, wolves were translocated into east-central portion of Blue Range Wolf Recovery Area. One measure success translocation is ability to capture native prey. Our objectives determine diet during summers 2005 2006, contrast areas that grazed by livestock seasonally annually. We collected scats, identified contents hair bone fragments, estimated calculating percentage biomass prey consumed. Elk (Cervus elaphus) comprised 80.3% wolf. Other included domestic cattle (16.8%), dee r( Odocoileus; ,1%), squirrels (,1%), other rodents (2%), lagomorphs (,1%). year-around grazing, 21% more consumed, compared seasonally. Recogimos excretas, identificamos contenido medio fragmentos pelo hueso, estimamos calculando porcentaje biomasa presa consumida. Los alces abarcaron mexicano. Otras incluyeron venados (Odocoileus; ardillas otros roedores lagomorfos Veintiun ciento mas consumido pastoreo constante comparado estacional.
