摘要: The noradrenaline (NA)-containing innervation of the hippocampal formation arises exclusively in brainstem nucleus locus coeruleus. projection is 75--90% ipsilateral, originating predominantly large, multipolar cells compact component nucleus. axons course into by three pathways. Ammon's horn receives its NA principally through ventral amygdaloid bundle-ansa peduncularis, with smaller contributions from fornix and ipsilateral fasciculus cinguli. area dentata to a larger extent bilateral, greatest contribution arising cinguli approximately equal proportions fibers traveling via contralateral cingulum, fornix, path. In general, endogenous content greater than horn, both structures temporal septal ends. pattern similar at all septotemporal levels, however. dense plexuses preterminal terminal elements appear infragranular hilus dentata, stratum lucidum CA3, molecular layer subiculum. Fluorescent varicosities often perisomatic clusters, or, closely apposed dendrites granule pyramidal cells.
