摘要: Abstract Purpose: To determine whether ocular hypertension (OHT) is over diagnosed in patients with increased corneal thickness. Methods: Thirty-six OHT were compared 29 control subjects and 31 glaucoma. Corneal thickness was determined by ultrasonic pachymetry measured at a single point, 1.5 mm temporal to the light reflex. Results: The (mean ± standard deviation) 0.610 0.033 mm. This significantly greater than glaucoma (0.557 0.039 mm) (0.567 0.036 mm). Conclusion: It well documented that leads artificially high estimations of intraocular pressure. study confirms significant number have normal pressure if taken into account. clinically helpful estimating pressure, determining risk visual loss, establishing target
