摘要: The ADAMs, together with ADAMTSs and snake venom metalloproteases (SVMPs), are members of the Adamalysin family. Differences in structural organization, functions localization known their domains, catalytic or non-catalytic, show key roles substrate recognition protease activity. Some as membrane-bound enzymes, sheddase Sheddases to modulation functional proteins such tumor necrosis factor, growth factors, cytokines receptors, adhesion proteins, signaling molecules stress involved immunity. These activities take part regulation several physiological pathological processes including inflammation, growth, metastatic progression infectious diseases. On these bases, some ADAMs currently investigated drug targets develop new alternative therapies many fields medicine. This review will be focused on aspects.
