摘要: Abstract The effect of oxygen and steam pretreatments iron surfaces on their tendency to catalyze carbon formation during reaction with hydrocarbons has been investigated. Treatment in at 700 °C was found have a dramatic influence the deposition reaction, amount produced being least an order magnitude higher than that formed metal surface under comparable conditions. Spectroscopic analysis (Auger Mossbauer) proved this pretreatment converts FeO. Examination deposit electron microscope shows it is predominantly filamentous nature. A detailed study using variety situ chemical tools conjunction more conventional bulk approaches used compare catalytic reactivity Fe, FeO, Fe 2 O 3 precursors for from ethane acetylene. All these techniques lead same conclusion—that activity FeO > ~ . It also shown C not active catalyst filament formation.
