Nucleotide sequence of the Bacillus stearothermophilus alpha-amylase gene.

摘要: Abstract The nucleotide sequence of the Bacillus stearothermophilus alpha-amylase gene and its flanking regions was determined. An open reading frame found, comprising a total 1,647 base pairs (549 amino acids) starting from GUG codon as methionine. It shown by NH2-terminal acid analysis that extracellular amylase consisted 515 residues, which corresponded to molecular weight 58,779. Thus portion encodes 34 residues signal peptide. The deduced fairly homologous (61%) with another thermostable amyloliquefaciens.
