Inbreeding, heterozygote advantage and the evolution of neo–X and neo–Y sex chromosomes

摘要: Associations between heterozygosities at different loci are generated by inbreeding. This can cause a fusion or translocation involving sex chromosome and an autosome to have selective advantage, when there is selection in favour of heterozygotes. Population genetic models Y-autosome X-autosome rearrangments populations mating mixture full sib-matings random described, which the rearrangements autosomal locus with heterozygote advantage become linked true chromosomes. Such gain under wide range conditions. If they invade, always spread fixation, whereas may be maintained as stable polymorphisms. The results discussed relation data on breeding systems karyotypic evolution termites.
