摘要: Objectives This study aimed (1) to determine whether inpatients with eating disorders (EDs) have difficulty differentiating their emotions and being aware of the others; (2) investigate link between actual skills in emotional awareness sense self-efficacy concerning these skills; (3) assess impact quality parental bonding on patients' levels awareness. Methods A sample 44 EDs, including a subgroup 25 patients restricting type anorexia nervosa (AR) 19 purging symptoms (PUR), were compared 37 controls. All participants completed measures (using Level Emotional Awareness Scale [LEAS]), alexithymia Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20 [TAS-20]), Parental Bonding Inventory). Results Inpatients EDs reported difficulties identifying describing feelings when using self-report questionnaire (TAS-20). However, performance-based instrument (LEAS), ED exhibited no deficits states, although AR experienced states others. Moreover, there was significant association TAS-20 LEAS scores, suggesting that two measurements provide insight into different aspects processing. Regression analyses showed maternal care had positive influence subgroup, whereas overprotection negative PUR subgroup. Conclusions Inpatients do not present personal despite self-perception.
