摘要: Drug resistance (DR) is the major limiting factor in successful treatment of systemic neoplasia with cytotoxic chemotherapy. DR can be either intrinsic or acquired, and although development clinical implications are different, underlying mechanisms likely to similar. Most causes for pharmacodynamic nature, result from adaptations within tumor cell include reduced drug uptake, increased efflux, changes metabolism target, capacity repair druginduced DNA damage apoptosis. The role active efflux transporters, those ABCtransporter family particular, have been studied extensively human oncology a lesser extent veterinary medicine. Methods reported assess status detection actual protein (Western blot, immunohistochemistry), mRNA function. three ABCtransporters associated ABCB1 Pgp, ABCC1 MRP1, ABCG2 BCRP, demonstrated canine lines, healthy dogs cancer. Although this supports causative these agents dog, relative contribution phenotype cancer remains an area debate requires further prospective studies.
