摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the chemical and morphological effects different lasers as a final surface treatment for endodontic therapy through energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) respectively. Twenty-five maxillary canines were selected instrumented with K3 system. Roots randomly distributed into five groups (n = 5) according treatment: GI (distilled water), GII (NaOCl + EDTA), GIII EDTA 980 nm diode laser), GIV EDTA+ 1,064 Nd:YAG GV 2,780 Er, Cr:YSGG laser). Lasers applied 20 s samples bisected, exposing treated then subjected elements quantification by EDS evaluation microscope (SEM). data submitted ANOVA-two way, SEM scores two-way Kruskal-Wallis Dunn's tests. analysis showed no difference Ca/P ratio between (p > .05). Statistical more intense results less < an amorphous organic matrix surface, while provided greater removal intertubular dentin forming craters, promoted fusion. method used in not able verify any changes root canal dentin; Nd:YAG, Cr:YSGG, laser capable modifying morphology, correlating characteristics features each one, which are essential clinical knowledge establish correct indication case. RESEARCH HIGHLIGHTS: after diode, Er;Cr:YSGG treatments modified one.
