摘要: Abstract Objective Retigabine is a novel antiepileptic drug with unique and complex mechanism of action which allows its use in many diseases associated impaired neuronal activity. This study sought to examine the impact retigabine on two types memory rats. Methods Adult male Wistar rats were used assess effect retigabine, administered p.o. as single (10 mg/kg or 20 mg/kg) repeated doses, spatial Morris water maze test (MWM) emotional memory, fear, passive avoidance (PA). Results at high dose transiently impairs learning processes In MWM, these changes delayed time lesser degree when was given low dose. Additionally, repeatedly for 2 weeks slowed but this occurred only after 1 week administration PA. Conclusion These findings indicate that may affect processes, especially first phase administration.
