摘要: Abstract Ascorbic acid (AA) is a water-soluble vitamin mainly present in fruits and vegetables. Food Composition Databases (FCDB) provide detailed information on nutritionally important components foods. However, some FCDB there significant lack of C content. The aim this study to produce new data for by measuring the AA content 26 types exotic evaluate nutritional value these as source C. In study, analytical method used measure ascorbic an economic, rapid previously validated High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method. per 100 g edible portion ranged between 0.925 ± 0.018 mg kiwano 117 ± 1.64 mg arbutus. For all analyzed considering mean daily consumption 100 g/day, twelve them more than 30% Dietary Reference Intake.
