Preparing for hemodialysis: patient stressors and responses.

摘要: This qualitative study explored stressors experienced by individuals with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Individuals on hemodialysis were asked to share their recollections regarding they as approached dialysis. Content analysis was used and the following themes emerged: (a) stressors; (b) emotional responses; (c) learning, preparation, acceptance; (d) regret dissatisfaction. The results of this have important implications for patient education support in care patients CKD.
