摘要: ABSTRACTWhite shark (Carcharodon carcharias) cage-diving tourism is a controversial activity that provokes emotional and often opposing points of view. With increasing demand for since the 1990s, un- derlying determinants driving this growth in participation remain unclear. This paper adopts qualitative approach to investigate beliefs underlying tourists’ choice observe white sharks while at Neptune Islands, South Australia. Elicitation surveys gathered responses from sample (n = 86) participants. Content analysis revealed decision cage-dive with driven by factors including education perceived naturalness experience. The findings study indicate an opportunity operators pro- vide situ interpretation potential increased tourist satisfaction conservation outcomes.
