摘要: A C/T polymorphism (rs11614913) was identified in the microRNA (miRNA) 196a2 (miR-196a2) gene and implicated susceptibility to cancer. Numerous studies have investigated its association with risk of colorectal cancer (CRC). However, results were inconsistent inconclusive. The present meta-analysis conducted based on six published case-control comprising 1,754 cases 2,430 controls (up November, 2012). Odds ratios (ORs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) calculated for allelic genotypic comparisons following co-dominant, dominant recessive genetic models. Chi-square-based Q-test used assess heterogeneity. Egger's test inverted funnel plots investigate publication bias. Subgroup analysis also performed. demonstrated that almost all models (except model CT vs. TT) indicated a significant between rs11614913 CRC risk. subgroup an Asian population similar results. there no miR-196a2 clinical characteristics patients. Our confirmed CRC, but not tumor stage grade.
