Combining ability for nodulation in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) genotypes from Andean and Middle American gene pools

摘要: Ten F1's obtained from crosses among five common bean genotypes of Andean (WAF 15, Mineiro Precoce and Batatinha) Middle American (BAT 304 Ouro) gene pools were assessed for their combining abilities root nodulation with Rhizobium tropici strain CIAT 899. The plants grown under controlled conditions evaluated number nodules per plant (NN), nodule dry weight (NDW), mean (MNW) fresh (PFW). subdivision the treatment effects on general (GCA) specific (SCA) performed according to Griffing's diallel analysis method 2, model 1. analyses variance estimates quadratic components showed that non-additive more important in expression NN PFW, whereas additive effect was predominant NDW MNW. A close association observed between high GCA. Generally, involving parents different yielded hybrids positive SCA all traits. origin WAF 15 are most promising breeding programs increase beans.
