摘要: Abstract Information is presented about osteoporosis of the mandibular bone with ageing. Porosity was observed to increase age and assessed by two procedures: (a) measuring area space seen in histological sections, (b) determining density small blocks bone. Of procedures, pyknometry proved be more suitable for assessing porosity smaller samples from alveolar crest used a detailed study. found vary, but usually pronounced than basal An unexpected finding that distribution bore little relation tooth loss or recession. This ageing process followed pattern which appeared related resorption during development.
