摘要: Even though the treatment of childhood cancer has evolved significantly in recent decades, aggressive central nervous system (CNS) tumors are still a leading cause morbidity and mortality this population. Consequently, identification molecular targets that can be incorporated into diagnostic practice, effectively predict prognosis, follow response, materialize potential targeted therapeutic approaches warranted. Since first evidence participation miRNAs development progression 20 years ago, notable progress been made basic understanding contribution their dysregulation as epigenetic driver tumorigenesis. Nevertheless, among plethora articles literature, microRNA profiling pediatric scarce. This article gives an overview advances diagnostic/prognostic selection CNS tumors: medulloblastoma, ependymoma, pilocytic astrocytoma, glioblastoma, diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors, choroid plexus tumors.
