摘要: After the World Health Organization officially declared end of first pandemic XXI century in August 2010, influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 virus has been disseminated human population. In spite its sustained circulation, very little on phylogenetic data or oseltamivir (OST) resistance is available for equatorial regions South America. order to shed more light this topic, we analysed haemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) genes positive samples collected during period Pernambuco (PE), a northeastern Brazilian state. Complete HA sequences were compared amino acid changes related clinical outcome. addition, H275Y substitution NA, associated with OST resistance, was investigated by pyrosequencing. Samples from PE grouped clades 6 7, being clustered together Southeast Brazil. The D222N/G gene mutation, severity, found one deceased patient that pregnant. Additionally, mutation K308E, which appeared Brazil 2010 only detected worldwide following year, identified hospitalised cases. marker not tested. However, broader studies are needed establish real frequency region.
