摘要: In this paper, Fermat's principle is applied to the analysis of pump‐induced optical distortion in isotropic laser materials. This approach leads expressions for slope and trajectories rays through a amplifier rod plane‐wave input. These results are then used predict ray refraction, beam divergence, path length as function radius, time, polarization. The index refraction material considered change both result thermal effects presence an excited ion population.
