摘要: Aims To investigate parents' views and experiences of direct reporting a suspected ADR in their child. Methods We audio-recorded semi-structured qualitative interviews with parents children ADRs. Our sample included (n = 17) without 27) previous experience submitting Yellow Card. Results Parents both groups described poor awareness the Card Scheme. Parents who had participated Scheme were generally happy to report child's via valued opportunity concerns independently health practitioners. They expressed motivations for that have not previously been linked parental role, including how registering concern about medicine helped resolve uncomfortable feelings ADR. submitted uncertainty legitimacy involvement doubts value information they could provide. Conclusion Promoting wider participation pharmacovigilance schemes will depend on raising public awareness. Additionally, our findings point need empower lay people reports reassure them reports.
