摘要: Purpose: The use of dried blood spots (DBS) for HIV-1 viral load determination could greatly enhance the management HIV infected individuals in resource-limited countries. Objective: To compare values obtained between parallel collected plasma and DBS. Materials Methods: DBS samples were from 62 used RNA concentrations using Abbot real-time PCR. Result: Mean log difference was -0.41 log. significantly correlated with (r = 0.9818, P < 0.0001). Conclusion: These results suggest that can be as an alternative to estimation if are appropriately stored.
