摘要: In this paper we investigate several network-assisted streaming approaches which rely on active cooperation between video applications and the network. We build a Video Control Plane enforces Quality Fairness among concurrent flows generated by heterogeneous client devices. To purpose, max-min fairness optimization problem is solved at run-time. compare two to actuate optimal solution in an SDN network: first one allocating network bandwidth slices flows, second guiding players bitrate selection. Performance assessed through QoE-related metrics, such as Fairness, quality, switching frequency. The impact of client-side adaptation algorithms also investigated.
