摘要: Abstract Infections from multidrug resistant (MDR) pathogenic bacteria, fungi and Mycobacterium tuberculosis remain progressively intractable. The search of effective antimicrobials other possible non-conventional sources against MDR mycobacteria is call the day. This review considers 121 cyanobacterial compounds or cyano-compounds with antimicrobial activities. Chemical structures were retrieved ChemSpider PubChem databases visualized by software ChemDraw Ultra. information on pertaining to Lipinski rules five was assessed. reviewed belong following chemical classes (with examples): alkaloids (ambiguine isonitriles 12- epi -hapalindole E isonitrile), aromatic (benzoic acid cyanobacterin), cyclic depsipeptides (cryptophycin 52 lyngbyabellin A), peptides (calophycin tenuecyclamides), undecapeptides (kawaguchipeptins lyngbyazothrin cyclophane (carbamidocyclophane), extracellular pigment (nostocine fatty acids (alpha-dimorphecolic majusculonic acid), linear (muscoride lipopeptides (fischerellins scytonemin nucleosides (tolytoxin tubercidin), phenols (ambigols 4-4′-hydroxybiphenyl), macrolides (scytophycin A tolytoxin), polyketides (malyngolide nostocyclyne), polyphenyl ethers (crossbyanol porphinoids (tolyporphin J) terpenoids (noscomin scytoscalarol). Cyanobacteria appear be a diverse source activity. Further attention required elucidate whether those could applied as pharmaceuticals.
