High fat feeding of lactating mice causing a drastic reduction in fat and energy content in milk without affecting the apparent growth of their pups and the production of major milk fat globule membrane components MFG-E8 and butyrophilin.

摘要: Lactating mice were fed either a low fat or high diet. Milk samples collected and the composition was examined. Triglyceride free fatty acid contents greatly reduced in milks of diet group, while protein lactose almost same between both groups. Although energy content each component also lower milk there apparently no significant difference growth pups raised by group. This discrepancy might be part explained hypothesis that monitor calorie keep suckling until intake reaches their satisfaction. Moreover, nearly amounts major globule membrane proteins MFG-E8 butyrophilin shown to present from groups gene expression mammary glands indistinguishable, suggesting production MFGM components is not simply related secretion.
