The emerging concept of pathogenic natural autoantibodies.

摘要: Natural autoantibodies (N AA) are self-reacting antibodies found in the serum. N AA do not require antigenic or mitogenic stimuli for their synthesis. These low affinity sera of normal healthy subjects and animals thought to constitute part innate immunity by providing a first line defense against foreign invading pathogens. In this paper we summarize recently accumulated data which points pathogenic potential AA, challenging paradigm nonharmful antibodies. [Hum Antibod 1997; 18: 70-75]
