摘要: Abstract Complexes of a new tridentate Schiff base, 2-(salicylidenaminomethyl)pyridine, with some first row transition metal ions have been isolated and characterized. Analytical, spectral, magnetic data, which support hexacoordination for the iron(III), cobalt(II), nickel(II) zinc(II) complexes quinquecoordination copper (II) complex, are presented. It has also shown that cobalt when exposed to air, irreversibly absorbs one mole elemental oxygen per complex.
