Computing ODE symmetries as abnormal variational symmetries

摘要: Abstract We give a new computational method to obtain symmetries of ordinary differential equations. The proposed approach appears as an extension recent algorithm compute variational optimal control problems [P.D.F. Gouveia, D.F.M. Torres, Automatic computation conservation laws in the calculus variations and control, Comput. Methods Appl. Math. 5 (4) (2005) 387–409], is based on resolution first order linear PDE that arises necessary sufficient condition invariance for abnormal problems. A computer algebra procedure developed, which permits one ODE by method. Examples are given, results compared with those obtained previous available methods.
