摘要: Abstract An experiment was conducted to determine whether natural royal jelly (RJ) paste administered orally or intramuscularly (i.m.) in conjunction with exogenous progesterone is associated improved reproductive responses ewes. Thirty 3–6-year-old Awassi ewes were randomly allocated into three (RJ-capsule, RJC; RJ-injection, RJI and control, CON) groups of 10 each. All treated intravaginal sponges for 12 days. Ewes the RJC i.m. a total 3 g RJ given equal doses 250 mg per ewe day starting at time sponge insertion. At withdrawal (day 0, 0 h), exposed rams checked breeding marks 6-h intervals 3 Blood samples collected from all analysis concentrations. Pretreatment levels −1 16/30 >1.3 ng ml remaining indicating luteal function cyclicity. Similar occurred RJI; therefore, data two pooled. Following insertion, increased rapidly reached maximum values 5.8±0.2 ng ml within 2 days among groups, then declined gradually 0 1.6±0.1 1.9±0.1 ng ml RJ-treated CON ewes, respectively. The rate decline greater ( P versus 3.3±0.2 ng ml ). Treatment resulted =0.09). pregnant exhibited oestrus 14 h earlier
