摘要: In this article, we provide a brief historical review of the development patient-reported outcome measurement, analysis, and reporting in clinical trials National Cancer Institute Canada Clinical Trials Group (NCIC CTG). doing so, examine selected lessons learned furthering quality these data their application to practice. We conclude that sequential institution key policies within NCIC CTG collective philosophy group has enabled routine incorporation health-related life into trial protocols according robust scientific principles; collection is possible variety circumstances (although not universally so); on subjective experiences likely be more reliable valid than conventional toxicity information; simple analyses report trends as well individual patient response rates are preferred.
