摘要: Insect trypanosomatids are inhabitants of the insect digestive tract. These parasites can be either monoxenous or dixenous. Plant known as once they and transmitted by phytophagous insects. Such found in latex, phloem, fruits seeds many plant families. Infections caused these pathogens a major cause serious economic losses. Studies independent groups have demonstrated metabolic flow lipids from vertebrate host to trypanosomatids. This mechanism is usually present when possess an incomplete de novo lipid biosynthesis pathway. Here, we show that both Phytomonas francai Leptomonas wallacei incorporate (3)H-palmitic acid inorganic phosphate. molecules used for biosynthesis. Moreover, isolated main hemolymphatic lipoprotein, Lipophorin (Lp) Oncopeltus fasciatus, natural vector such parasites. Both were able Lp utilized protein source their metabolism. Also, observed presence binding sites membrane parasite. In conclusion, believe elucidation trypanosomatid pathways will lead better understanding parasite-host interactions identification novel potential chemotherapy targets.
