摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing activated carbon fibres (ACF) from empty fruit brunch (EFB) fibres. includes the steps of: (i) washing EFB with nitric acid (HNO3) and followed by of deionized (DI) water drying This step is essential removal any adsorbed inorganic materials; (ii) mixing obtained sulphuric (H2S44); (iii) subjecting carbonization process; (iv) heating chars in nitrogen gas environment up temperature between 600 1200 °C holding at 1200°C dioxide (CO2) period 1 24 hours cooling environment.
