Structure and properties of Si3N4SiO2 ceramics using an organic precursor

摘要: Abstract A low temperature preparation method was developed to produce Si 3 N 4 SiO 2 composites with only about 0.8% dimensional change. The three-dimensional cross-linked polymethylphenylsiloxane (PMPS) used as SiO precursor. Pyrolysis of PMPS polymers investigated a processing route for the fabrication ceramics. It found that ceramics contain α-Si , α-cristobaliteand amorphous phases. ceramic has excellent dielectric properties and good thermal shock resistance. Despite relative density (about 80%), flexural strengths are over 145 MPa can be retained up at least 1000°C.
