摘要: Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance Clerodendron glandulosum.Coleb leaf aqueous extract (CG) is traditionally used by people of North-East India to alleviate symptoms diabetes, obesity and hypertension. Previous study from our laboratory have documented anti-diabetic anti-hypertensive properties CG but, till date there are no pharmacological studies available on its anti-obesity potential. This inventory investigates the underlining molecular mechanism/s induced regulation in vivo HFD vitro adipocyte differentiation. Aim To evaluate effects (i) expression genes regulating visceral adiposity (ii) differentiation LEP release. Materials methods Body weight, lee index, plasma lipids LEP, mRNA PPARγ-2, SREBP1c, FAS, CPT-1 epididymal adipose tissue control experimental groups were evaluated. Also, potential release was assessed. Results Supplementation fed mice significantly prevented increment bodyweight, hypertrophy. supplementation resulted down FAS along with up-regulation compared mice. In recorded significant anti-adipogenic effect that decreased adipogenesis, TG accumulation, release, G3PDH activity higher glycerol without altering viability 3T3L1 pre-adipocytes. Conclusions prevents PPARγ-2 related Lep thus validating traditional therapeutic use controlling obesity.
