摘要: Summary Objectives: Propofol is a sedative-hypnotic drug commonly used toanesthetize children undergoing esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD). Dexmedetomidine highly selective alpha-2 adrenergicreceptor agonist that has been utilized in combination with propofol toprovide anesthesia. There currently no information regarding theeffect of intravenous dexmedetomidine on the plasmaconcentration–response relationship during EGD children. Thisstudy aimed to investigate pharmacodynamic interaction ofpropofol and when forchildren EGD.Methods: A total 24 EGD, ages 3–10 years, were enrolled this study. Twelve received dexmedetom-idine 1 lgAEkg )1 given over 10 min as well continuous infusion delivered by computer-assisted target-controlled infusion(TCI) system target plasma concentrations ranging from 2.8 to4.0 lgAEml (DEX group). Another group 12 undergoingEGD also administered TCI targeting compara-ble without (control group). We logistic regression predict concentrationsat which 50% patients exhibited minimal response stimuli(EC
