摘要: Abstract Methods for serum lipid and lipoprotein estimation were evaluated as screening procedures in 38 patients suspected of having hyperlipidemia. Direct thin-layer chromatography allowed rapid visual quantitation triglyceride free ester cholesterol was found to be a most practical method. The results correlated highly with the chemical methods ( r = 0.93−0.96). Preceding extraction lipids automated densitometry did not enhance accuracy. Lipoprotein paper electrophoretic fractions semiquantitatively (0 4+). Correlation total cholesterol, phospholipid range 0.56 0.73. semi-quantitative nature this method probable age- sex-related changes make interpretation difficult. Nevertheless, abnormal patterns observed even when chemically measured within so-called normal limits. Therefore, it concluded that abnormalities should include major well triglyceride.
