摘要: The physiological parameters that will affect EMU design and operational scheduling for the Space Station Program are discussed. system must be designed to safely effectively handle increased frequency of extravehicular activity projected longer flight periods than in past. In order minimize risk decompression sickness a proper combination equilibration time cabin pressure, suit prebreathing denitrogenation, is necessary. Effective thermal exchange automatically controlled have an 8-hr 1000 BTU/hr capability. Physiological changes due adaptation weightlessness considered their impact on performance/fatigue coping with motion sickness. Radiation protection limit 80 rad/quarter achieved by avoid periodic proton solar flare exposure, additional shielding. Additional considerations control microorganisms higher pressure requirement emergency O2 purge.
