摘要: Abstract Mills et al . (1987) developed an index of zooplankton mean size to assess the state fish communities. The use this was evaluated in assessment community structure 1993 at nearshore and offshore sites three Lake Erie basins. .’s using a 153-μm mesh net, while samples study have been collected with 64-μm 110-μm nets. Two methods were used convert data equivalent collections: (a) regression relationships based on simultaneous collections sizes, (b) elimination smaller organisms that would passed through by determining minimum length inclusion (MLI). regressions employed for conversion (ZML) between nets were: ZML 153 = 0.137 + 0.988 110 (mm) (r 2 = 0.804) (n = 10) = 0.042 + 1.330 64 = 0.931) (n = 9). MLI resulted same as sample averaged (± 1 SE) 0.267 ± 0.016 mm (n =19). comparison western basin showed good agreement index. However, not true 1988 1990 data. Reasons discrepancy are discussed.
